Responsibilities:
- Participate in complex external audits and internal audits of community banks
- Perform detailed test work and prepare workpapers
- Write internal audit reports and assist in drafting financial statements and footnotes
- Draft comments and recommendations on improvements to internal controls
- Conduct interviews and document client processes and procedures
- Develop business relationships
Work closely with partners, managers, seniors and our clients
Requirements:
- 1 to 3 years of experience working as an internal or external auditor or related position in a public accounting firm or within the banking industry
- Prior experience in banking/financial institutions preferred
- Experience performing financial statement audits, internal audits or compliance audits
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic
- Strong project management skills
- Interest in recruiting and professional development
- Proficiency with MS Office
- CPA, CIA, certification or progress toward certification preferred
- Travel range from 20% to 50%
