The IT Web/Application Developer will work closely with management and business process owners to identify problems that can be cost effectively solved with technology. Candidate should have technology management experience in the full life-cycle development of custom applications using a broad range of skills, including HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, ASP, VBA, SQL, Oracle, and MS Access.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for client engagement from definition phase through implementation
- Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
- Reviews work of development team
- Easily recognizes system deficiencies and implements effective solutions
- Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Keep stake holders informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager
- Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project
- Communicates and enforces coding standards
- Ability to manage technical resources within budget and project schedule
- Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients
- Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
- Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
- Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree Preferred
- Core programming skills in HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, ASP, VBA, SQL, Oracle, and MS Access
- Understands complex database concepts and effectively employs different database design techniques
- Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one relational database management system
- Understands OO concepts and consistently applies them in client engagements
- Possesses significant knowledge of client/server and internet systems architectures
- Experienced managing large quantities of data and understands the best methods to organize, store and extract data
- Understands browser / client specific compatibility issues
